Gates to Matriculation - a program designed for high schools

Empowering and training education teams to increase the eligibility percentage and quality of the matriculation certificate

A school intervention program, based on a systemic-organizational perspective, to increase the rate of eligibility for matriculation and the quality of the matriculation certificate in schools in the periphery.

The program develops and empowers the school's administrative and educational staff, streamlines teaching methods and pedagogical work, works to change perceptions and attitudes, and instills values of excellence and teacher responsibility for student success. The comprehensive four- to five-year mentoring process in each school, which includes organizational consulting for the management team; pedagogical guidance for the pedagogical coordinator and subject coordinators; and focused professional guidance as needed, results in a dramatic increase in the rate of eligibility for a full matriculation in participating schools and in the rate of students eligible for a quality matriculation certificate.

Matriculation Goals Program – Outcome Indicators:

  • The rate of students eligible for the matriculation exam exceeds the national rate of eligible students.
  • 10% of those studying in the twelfth grade will be eligible for an outstanding matriculation certificate.
  • The school's teachers receive compensation from the Ministry of Education for improving academic achievement and preventing dropout.
KPIs

School staff will experience success in dramatically improving academic achievement in the subject of demonstrator within the first two years of the program's inception.
