A school intervention program, based on a systemic-organizational perspective, to increase the rate of eligibility for matriculation and the quality of the Bagrut diploma in schools in the periphery.
This school-based intervention program, is grounded in a systemic-organizational approach and is aimed at raising the school’s Bagrut eligibility rate while improving the quality of the Bagrut diploma in schools in peripheral areas. The program develops and empowers the school's management and educational staff, streamlines teaching methods and pedagogical practices. It also works to change perceptions and attitudes, while also instilling the values of excellence and teacher responsibility needed for academic success. This comprehensive support process, lasting four to five years at each school, includes organizational consulting for the management team; pedagogical consulting for the pedagogical coordinator and subject coordinators; and focused professional training according to need. This results in a dramatic increase in the full Bagrut eligibility rate in participating schools, as well as a significant rise in the number of pupils qualifying for a high-quality Bagrut diploma.
Outcome Indicators
- The percentage of pupils eligible for Bagrut exceeds the national eligibility rate.
- 10% of the 12th grade pupils will be eligible for an outstanding matriculation certificate.
- The school team will see a significant improvement in academic performance in a specific subject during the first two years of the program.
School staff will experience success in dramatically improving academic achievement in the subject of demonstrator within the first two years of the program's inception.
