Alliance-Kol Israel Haverim (KIAH) is a leading educational organization in Israel, and part of the Alliance Isra\u00e9lite Universelle founded in 1860 in France, which brought about massive changes in the Jewish world:\n

  • 280 modern Jewish schools established in the Balkans, Middle East, and North Africa;<\/li> \n
  • Education for women; <\/li>\n
  • Training centers for local cadres of leaders - educators, community leaders and rabbis;<\/li>\n

  • Founding of Mikve Israel (the first Jewish agricultural school in Israel).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/p><\/span><\/p>

    The socio-economic gap between center and periphery can be seen in the lack of equal opportunities in education, and in the poor realization of the talents and potential of students from the periphery.<\/p>

    Educational excellence is the key driver of social mobility. Since there is a clear correlation between motivation, academic achievements, and success with the positive affirmation of the pupils\u2019 sense of identity, self-esteem, and belonging, Kol Israel Haverim works to promote educational excellence in the periphery while strengthening local identity and leadership.<\/span><\/p>

      Israeli Judaism connects, Spanish Jewish tradition and connection to France: <\/span>The increasing division of Israeli society into sectors along lines of religious identities and the weakening of its common denominators, lead to overall reduced identification with Jewish and democratic values. Religious extremism, the exclusion of the moderate traditional population and the alienation from Jewish tradition, significantly damage the country's social cohesion as well as its ties with the Diaspora.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

      Rooted in a sense of responsibility for Klal Israel [all of Israel], and to strengthen the country as a Jewish and democratic state, 'Kol Israel Haverim' works to promote inclusive Jewish-Israeli identity and leadership.<\/span><\/p>

        Activities and Plans<\/b><\/h3>

        Kol Israel Haverim initiates programs of intervention and empowerment in schools and in the community, and trains educational and local leadership as a means of fostering sustainable social and educational change. Based on the perspective that there is a correlation between academic achievement and identity processes, Kol Israel Haverim advances a diverse, inclusive, and unifying Jewish tradition.<\/span><\/p>

        The concept of identity-based pedagogy was developed by Alliance: Kol Israel Haverim and is implemented as part of its extensive activities in Israeli society.<\/p>

        Faith and hope, Emunah and Tikvah. At the heart of our mission at Kol Israel Haverim lie two intertwined values: FAITH and HOPE. Having Faith in people provides the belief that we can build a society based on solidarity, equality, and justice. This reflects trust in the individuals' ability to work together and create a fair and supportive community for all; and having hope is also vital, in that through our collective efforts, we can create sustainable change and secure a better future for our children.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

        At Kol Israel Haverim, we are committed to creating the conditions that will provide equal\neducational opportunities, enabling pupils in the social peripherial areas to fully realize their potential. We know that the key to educational mobility lies in positively affirming the identity of pupils, acknowledging their culture, and fostering a sense of belonging to both Jewish tradition and Israeli society.         My mission as the Chairman of Kol Israel Haverim is to pave the way for a better future for Israeli society, to create meaningful and sustainable change through education, and lastly, to ensure that the legacy of Alliance continues to provide an impetus for progress and prosperity for the Jewish people and Israeli society. Our educational programs provide equal educational opportunities, empower pupils' self-worth, and aim to realize the full potential and talents of pupils in the peripheral areas.\nOur programs foster a greater sense of belonging and identification with the Jewish and democratic values, while also strengthening social cohesion and shared values across society.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

        As a philanthropist, I invest in education out of love for humanity and Israel. I firmly believe in education's ability to drive meaningful change and propel Israeli society toward a brighter future.\nFor over thirty years, I have dedicated my time, experience, and financial resources to promoting a long-term strategy that will ensure the organization's continued existence and growth.
