Morasha program

Beit Midrash learning and identity-reflective dialogue while being sensitive to the diversity of traditions and identities

This program fosters inclusive Israeli-Jewish identity in public schools and supports the school staff in developing a Jewish-Israeli values-based dialogue that leads to social action. It promotes a positive understanding and recognition of the diverse identities within Israeli society, particulary focusing on traditional pupils. The program also strengthens the school's ability and boosts confidence in facilitating dialogue-based Beit Midrash learning, while creating connections to a variety of Israeli traditions.

The school coordinator and teaching staff are trained in leading the learning processes and creating educational opportunities that explore Israeli-Jewish identity. At the same time, it establishes pupil leadership groups who independently guide Havruta study sessions in their classrooms and school events. Small groups learning encourages individual pupil expression and empowers those whose voices are not typically heard in class.
