Training academics for quality teaching in a Jewish-humanistic spirit

The Kerem Institute for Jewish Humanistic Education, part of Kol Yisrael Chaverim, operating under the academic umbrella of David Yellin College, trains academics for quality teaching in a Jewish-humanistic spirit.

The institute, established in 1974, trains high-quality, professional, and broad-minded teachers who see the teaching profession as a mission. Kerem graduates serve in significant positions in the education system, and develop long-term careers in the worlds of education and teaching.

The Kerem Institute certifies academic teachers from all fields of humanities, Judaism, society, and the arts, from a dialogical educational perspective, and with an emphasis on the centrality of the humanities and Judaism to strengthening state education in Israel. Studies take place in small groups, with personal guidance, with a deep connection to the field. The institute assists graduates in integrating into the field of education and accompanies them in their years of entering teaching..
