Reshit program

To promote equal opportunities and education in values by strengthening and establishing the homeroom teachers

The program creates a homeroom teacher community which serves as a safe and stimulating space for peer learning, sharing, reflection and creativity Through the development of trust among the members of the homeroom teacher community, a framework for learning and sharing is established. Focus is placed on developing the role of the homeroom teachers as a distinct profession. Through research-driven practice evaluation, the program addresses the daily challenges while refining outstanding practices, and explores ways and means to promote equal opportunities and valuesbased education.

The city-wide program collaborates with all the city's educational leaders and in turn creates a municipal homeroom teacher roundtable alongside the homeroom teacher communities within the schools. By creating innovative initiatives which are led by homeroom teachers, the entire municipal system is mobilized to promote equal opportunities as well as values-based education.

The program was founded and is operated by the Lion Foundation, in partnership with the Professional Development Division, the Elementary Education Division of the Ministry of Education and the Mofet Institute.
